The Wilderness Center Bird Club is pleased to present the program, "Birds of the Galapagos Islands" by Paul Barding on Saturday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m. in the Cardinal Room at The Wilderness Center, after our "birdwalk and brunch" beginning at 8 a.m. in TWC parking lot.

Originally from Illinois, Barding has an educational background in the biological and environmental sciences from Eastern Illinois University, with a B.S. in Environmental Biology and an M. He relocated to Ohio in 2001 and currently works for the Sherwin-Williams Company in Cleveland in the Corporate Environmental Compliance Department. MARK YOUR CALENDAR

Saturday, August 16
ANNUAL SHOREBIRD TRIP

We will be birding 'in search of' local migrating shorebirds wherever they can be found. Ben Morrison will be leading this trip as always. We will know closer to the trip date where we will be heading.

The OTTAWA NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE AREA's Auto Tour is the same day, so if there are shorebirds there, this may be one of our stops.

SO, be sure to keep an eye on the website for more information. Times and meeting place will be posted at a later date.

Birders got some GREAT pix at the 2008 I.M.B.D. - see entire photo album on Recent Sightings page.
